Yagami Light is a teenager (17 at beginning) whose life
completely changes when he picks up the Death Note, belonging to the Shinigami Ryuk, on his way out of school.
The Death Note has the ability to kill anyone whose name is written in it and the model student quickly becomes a
serial killer as he starts killing off all the world's criminals, and anyone who tries to stop him.
By the second part, Light is 22 and the world worships Kira, the one bringing justice to the world
by killing criminals and wrong doers.
MIKAMI TERU?
A 27 year old loyal Kira follower who admires Kira. He secretly lurked behind the scenes of Kira related
events in hopes of getting the attention of Kira himself. Surely enough, Teru manages to receive Light's
attention and is given the Death Note to do Kira's job while Light is unable to do it himself.
YAGAMI LIGHT X MIKAMI TERU?
Teru see's Light as God and will do his bidding without question. Light and Teru think very much the same so Light trusts Teru to take his place as Kira while Light is being carefully monitored by his own investigation team. Their relationship may be seen as "God and Servant", but you can see it any way to want.
